Therapist for
NYC Women
HEY THERE, I’M MOLLI
Founder of Bengal Therapy and
New York City therapist for women.
You did it! I’m happy you’re here.
I specialize in all things womanhood: anxiety, life transitions, relationships, career, family, friendships, future planning, eating disorders, disconnection of mind and body, and self image.
I approach my work through both Eastern and Western philosophies of healing, guided by the belief that lasting change happens when we attend to the whole person. I am a psychodynamically and relationally trained therapist, as well as a 200-hour Certified Yoga teacher and lifelong yogi.
I lead with curiosity into how our foundational relationships shape our beliefs and emotional experiences, as well as the patterns we carry into our current relationships. I’ll admit, gaining insight can feel great for our brains, but we don’t always feel that truth in our body; it’s the difference between knowing something and truly believing it.
Insight is an important part of healing, but it isn't always enough on its own. I incorporate Somatic Experiencing, yogic philosophy and pranayama practice as tools to attune to mind, body, and spirit, as our bodies often hold important information before our minds can fully make sense of it.
Change happens when our mind and body begins to tell the same story.

I am an out-of-network provider. I believe that quality mental health care should be accessible to all, so I'm happy to submit out-of-network claims to your insurance on your behalf.
Most patients with out-of-network benefits receive between 50%-80% reimbursement from their insurance. Please reach out if you have any questions about out-of-network coverage.

I prioritize seeing patients in person. I find this is especially important in our first few months working together, and as we are getting to know eachother. Additionally, my therapy office is completely confidential and private. If you are doing therapy in your own space, it can be hard to find a private, quiet, confidential space.
That said, I understand that virtual sessions can be more accessible for certain people, and I am happy to accommodate. If you prefer to work virtually, please let me know in our initial consultation.
-
Reach me anytime via the contact page or email me at molli@bengaltherapy.com. I aim to respond within one to two business days.
